Who We Are

The Great Pacific Group of companies in barbados, provide operational support, company management, and corporate administrative services to our clients. We are a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Jim Pattison Group headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Great Pacific was established in 2006 with the objective of providing a higher level of client service.

When we opened our doors for business, we had a single client and three staff members. By staying true to our objective of superior service by 2021 we had over 30 clients and a staff of 17 motivated professionals. Our clients’ parent companies are located in Canada and the United States. Our clients operate in a wide variety of industries including, forestry, lumber, transportation, energy, manufacturing, real estate, construction, and financial services.

Insurance Operations

• Assistance with strategic design of corporate risk financing programs. • Review of insurance pricing models. • Manuscripting of policy wordings. • Negotiation of reinsurance programs. • Oversight of claims management programs.

Account Management

• Management and coordination of activities between, insureds, auditors, bankers, investment managers, regulators, actuaries, fronting companies, and brokers. • Monthly financial reporting and reconciliations Cash Management. • Preparation of financial statements and facilitation of annual audit. • Preparation of all disbursements.

Corporate Services

• Company administration. • Director, officer, and corporate secretarial services. • Business registration and licensing. • Hosting of board and shareholder meetings. • Management of annual licensing, tax returns, and regulatory compliance.

Risk Control & Claims Management

• Management of Workers’ Compensation and Auto Liability claims for US operations • Development of loss prevention and risk control strategies • Development of claims management best practices, procedures, and workflow.

Tony joined the Great Pacific Group in 2008 as President and now serves as the group’s Chairman and has over 30 years of experience in the public accounting industry.

President

Colin joined the Great Pacific Group in July 2021 as President and has over 30 years of experience in the captive insurance industry. 

Alicia Skeete

Vice President

Alicia joined the Great Pacific Group in November 2023 as Vice President and has over 10 years of experience in the captive insurance industry.

Tricia Nurse

MANAGER, CORPORATE, SERVICES & COMPLIANCE

Tricia joined the Great Pacific Group in June 2008 and has over 20 years of experience in the Corporate Secretarial sector.
